MIDDLE SCHOOL BUSTED TICKET WINNERS: WEEK ENDING 10/25/19 XStream Team – Logan Burnor Firebirds Team – Caple Rich Dream Team – Kameron Lefebvre Voyagers Team – Abigail Nester The Elks National Foundation is hosting its annual “HoopShoot”. The event will take place on Monday, November 11th. There are extra flyers in the HUB with more information for boys or girls ages 12-13. There is a Middle School Halloween Costume Contest for students, teachers & staff on Thursday, October 31st. Prizes awarded for the scariest and/or best costume, most original & prime group with the most participation. Title VI Indian Education & the Missisquoi Youth Program are having a 50/50 raffle. Money raised will benefit the student program sweatshirts and other student needs. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Tickets will be on sale during all lunch periods. Winners will be drawn in Commons before Thanksgiving break.

VKAT is the middle school chapter of OVX. She is looking for middle school teachers, coaches, and other staff to nominate students who are interested in social justice, graphic design, wellness, and learning leadership skills. We are looking for eight graders primarily but 7 graders are able to join as well! This group will be responsible for creating a poster series, PSA video, and attending leadership conferences. VKAT is tasked with educating the community on the risk factors related to smoking tobacco. The group will meet during school hours so students do not need to worry about after school transportation. In preparation for this year’s show, there will be a number of “dance camps” running prior to auditions to help prepare for the best performance possible. Anyone who intends to audition must attend at least two of the camps as show choreography will be introduced and part of the audition process. There are sign-up sheets for each session outside the music room. There will also be a community information meeting on Monday November 4th at 6pm in the music room.
