Denisha Arsenault is looking for nominations for the Vermont Kids Against Tobacco group. VKAT is the middle school chapter of OVX. She is looking for middle school teachers, coaches, and other staff to nominate students who are interested in social justice, graphic design, wellness, and learning leadership skills. We are looking for eight graders primarily but 7 graders are able to join as well! This group will be responsible for creating a poster series, PSA video, and attending leadership conferences. VKAT is tasked with educating the community on the risk factors related to smoking tobacco. The group will meet during school hours so students do not need to worry about after school transportation. Please reach out to Denisha Arsenault, the advisor for VKAT, with your nominations. e-mail: Denisha.Arsenault@mvsdschools.org.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of MVU Musicals. We are excited to announce that this year’s show will be Chicago. In preparation for this year’s show, there will be a number of “dance camps” running prior to auditions to help prepare for the best performance possible. Anyone who intends to audition must attend at least two of the camps as show choreography will be introduced and part of the audition process. There are sign-up sheets for each session outside the music room. There will also be a community information meeting on Monday November 4th at 6pm in the music room. Informational packets are available outside the music room.
