The Alburg RV Resort (1 Alburg RV Resort Rd.), off Blue Rock Rd in Alburg, right after the West Swanton bridge about a 1/4 mile) is looking for someone to work in the store/office from May to September 30th (will hire year after year) - Applicant must be at least 16 years of age with reliable transportation. Applicant needs to be good with people, good on a computer and reliable. It is a fast paced job and can get very busy at times. Hours: A couple days a week after school until 6/8 depending on how busy we are and weekends will alternate one weekend and would be the morning shifts, Sat & Sun 9-2 the following the afternoon shifts Sat & Sun 2-8. UVM Summer Academy: Designed for motivated high school students who have completed 10th, 11th or 12th grade, the University of Vermont’s Summer Academy is an outstanding, academically challenging 4-week program (2 weeks on-campus, 2 weeks online) that provides students with the opportunity to earn credits, explore a specific area of career interest, experience college life and showcase their talent and ambition to college recruiters. Search the uvm.edu website for information and see your school counselor for assistance. Attention all students who are interested in being on Student Council next year; please fill out an application, note the position you would like to run for and return it to Mrs. Larose in the high school office. Applications are located outside of her office. Summer Opportunity here at MVU 7/29 - 8/2: Rosie’s Girls – is a summer camp program in its 20th year that gives middle school girls hands-on opportunities in a variety of STEAM fields, including welding, carpentry, computer programming, and forestry. One of the most important parts of the program is our Junior Staff, made up of 1 Junior Instructor/week who supports our adult staff in delivering camp activities and other camp logistics. It is an opportunity to grow as a leader and experience camp from a new angle. We are looking for a young woman or gender non-conforming student entering grades 10-12 who might be interested in this opportunity. You don’t need to have any experience with STEAM but it will certainly be an enhanced experience if you are interested in related fields! There is a $100 stipend for the week.
